As a National Sales Consultant, you will become an expert in the ever-changing energy market. TPI’s core product offerings are the Natural Gas, Electricity, LED Lighting, Energy Efficiency projects, and Demand Response services.

Work You’ll Do As Part of TPI

As a part of our National Sales Team, you will be responsible for or engage in the following as part of your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Direct all sales activities from opportunity identification through deal closure for all industry accounts to ensure you exceed the personal and sales goals you have set for yourself.
  • Develop a sales plan for the assigned territory to achieve annual business objectives.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with consultants and partners that contribute to the achievement of annual targets as defined in the sales plan.
  • Monitor and report on the activities of competitors quarterly.
  • Have a robust and verifiable pulse on the market.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of effective sales presentations for critical opportunities.
  • Acquire knowledge of all our products from both a marketing and technical perspective
  • Interface with other TPI Efficiency departments to ensure successful projects from opportunity development through contract closure
  • Develop executive relationships

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required OR equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working at a senior level in a professional services business development/sales leadership role in the utilities, energy management, or renewables industry with exceptional commercial awareness, a good understanding of market drivers and challenges (market foresight)
  • Ability to juggle and manage conflicting priorities within required timelines
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required
  • A sales background with a demonstrated history of sales performance.
  • A solid grasp of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators.
  • A thorough aptitude for analysis and strategy.
  • Decisive thinking and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills.
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Dynamic and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong client-focused mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $54,447.00 – $141,810.00 per year
