PROJECTED NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION
This summerโs weather could start mild but is expected to warm up as an El Nino arrives in June. This will alter the current pattern of cooler temperatures in the Pacific Northwest from La Nina and replace them with hotter temperatures. As a result, this will likely bring a much hotter and more humid late summer.
Despite strong injections, the gas market has begun to rise with the upcoming summer right around the corner and electricity demand waiting in the wings; electricity demand is expected to be very high later in summer and may even extend into late October with the impact of the El Nino.

Your residential FirstEnergy bills should be checked to ensure you are not on the utility rate. Starting with your June read date, the rate for electricity supply will more than double to 12.2 cents per kWh. Talk to your TPI Rep to help you find a way out of this mess.
