We are actively recruiting a dynamic and experienced Sales Development Rep to join our team!

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, identifying and nurturing potential leads, and setting the stage for our sales success. You’ll work closely with our sales and marketing teams to drive new business opportunities and help us achieve our ambitious goals. 

You’ll also gain exposure and training in professional tools, including HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

 Job Summary 

We are seeking an energetic, motivated and articulate team player to join our sales team as an inside Sales Development Rep. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following up, calling, prospecting and qualifying leads.  We’re looking for an SDR who possesses strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities including cold calling, emailing, and social selling to generate qualified leads 
  • Research and identify key decision makers within target accounts 
  • Qualify inbound leads and set up meetings for Business Development Managers
  • Manage and track all prospecting activities in our CRM system 
  • Meet or exceed monthly quotas for qualified opportunities 
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine lead generation strategies 
  • Stay up-to-date on company products, services, and industry trends 
  • Uphold TPI’s core values of fostering collaboration, valuing diversity in talents, experiences and perspectives and balancing confidence and humility while taking pride in personal and team accomplishments 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field (preferred) 
  • 2 years of sales or customer service experience 
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license 
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

  • Effective verbal and written communication 
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills 
  • Interested in sustainability solutions

Your role will be crucial in driving business growth by nurturing relationships and strategically positioning the company for success. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the energy industry, communicate effectively with clients and industry professionals, and have a strong passion for promoting sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business revenue
  • Meet monthly sales quota goals
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospect to close
  • Provide expert energy efficiency and sustainability advice to clients
  • Evaluate and analyze client energy consumption and develop efficient energy-saving solutions
  • Research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes
  • Manage client relationships and provide ongoing communication and support
  • Deliver regular reports on project progress and energy savings
  • Attend and participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Consistently integrate TPI’s core values into everyday habits by promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
  • Proven sales experience and track record of success
  • Experience as an Energy Consultant or Facilities Manager a plus
  • Experience prospecting and managing complex B2B sales cycle
  • Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must possess a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
