The company was established when the energy market was significantly different from today, with the first generation of leadership recognizing an opportunity to help businesses navigate the complexities of energy procurement and cost reduction.
Since its inception, TPI Efficiency has become a leader in energy analysis and procurement services. The company provides expert energy procurement services and cost-reduction strategies for clients’ energy spending, focusing nationwide on natural gas, electricity, and LED lighting installations.
Over the years, TPI Efficiency has expanded its client base, serving over 3,800 commercial, industrial, educational, government, and nonprofit organizations nationwide. The company has developed a reputation for its vendor-neutral approach and customized solutions, prioritizing cost-effective strategies for its clients.
In October 2022, TPI Efficiency was acquired by ScaleCo Management LLC, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history. This acquisition was ScaleCo’s 22nd platform investment and third investment from their committed Fund IV.
Following the ScaleCo acquisition, TPI Efficiency continued its growth trajectory. In June 2023, the company made its first add-on acquisition, purchasing the electricity and natural gas business of Greenstar Solutions, LLC, based in Bethlehem, PA. This strategic move further expanded TPI Efficiency’s portfolio and enhanced its ability to offer comprehensive energy procurement solutions.
TPI Efficiency has maintained a strong presence in Ohio throughout its history, even securing multi-year partnerships with prominent sports organizations like the Cleveland Browns and Columbus Crew.
